Description

"The spinning of the engines,
The clatter of the wheels upon the tracks,
A twist in all the endings,
The price to pay for seeing through the cracks.
And the future’s a railroad stretching endlessly.
All my hopes keep rolling on the track.
As the shadows of home become a memory,
They will haunt me but they can’t pull me back."

Qadir Clockwork, Abyssinian tinker, sprout of the southern beastkin realms, refugee from his own people.

"Qadir Clockwork is an Abyssinian, a beastman from a desert culture that combines early Steampunk technology with an anarcho-technocratic society reminiscent of Mad Max: Fury Road or the Skaven from the Warhammer universe. It is each beast for themselves, inventors carefully hide their technologies so no others may use them, houses are ramshackle steam huts stacked upon each other, slavery is commonplace, the power of the most prolific slavers or inventors restricted only by frequent assassinations. Mafia-like gangs rule the streets, favors are a currency worthier than gold - sand, slaves and secrets define this distant land.

Qadir is a freelance inventor who, raised as the son of one of the few Abyssinians with a conscience, made a living with many a questionable job in his old home, spywork and assassinations leaving him in equal parts wracked by guilt and fear, leaving behind a skittish and paranoid creatures that would stuff its workshop with traps for intruders and built itself an ever-expanding clockwork exosuit to expand its combat capabilities.

He has recently left his home, the underground city of Spark Garden, where half the populace wants his head on a platter, for a long trip north, taking with him his combat suit, his steampunk companion, the clockwork spider Ark and his plans of fulfilling the oldest dream of his deceased mother: wings to fly with, as the dragons do."
