This is a poster/flyer-thing for a welcomeparty for the new students in my school.The kind of chaotic design is suppose to sort of symbol construction,beginning and uncertainty. hahahaha.

Cant say i havnt bin inspired by "Bld v Getty-Imgs". Think build is one of the greatest graphical designers ive ever seen for a long, long time. "This is almost a direct copy of one of his pieces featured at computerlove" - Ive bin inspired by alot of things for this poster. Mostly by "Lebeus Woods" (sorry cant link him because i dont know any website) and his fantastic architectual drawings. If you would have known HIS work i dont think you would have wasted your energy.
If you want to credit build, fine by me. Just dont think everyone can credit the "pioneered" style everytime they make something non compensated.

Look dude, don't get me wrong. I think an essential component to advancing skill is to study those that are better than you. However... if you are going to try to convince me that this poster was not HEAVILY inspired and nearly copied off of [link] then I am going to call you completely insane. 
I just think that when you get comments like "amazing original style dude
i love it", you need to tell people that it is not in fact an original style. People are thinking you invented this. It would be much better for people to be enlightened to these great designers rather than envision your creation as an ideal incarnation of that style, no? Read me?
Anyway, I like the piece... and I'm happy to see this style drift into deviantart.

oooooo this is gorgeous. i dont even know where to begin. the type layout is soooo frickin sophisticated and exceptionally well layed out... everything from the detail work to the imagery screams avante garde post-futurism elegance... ugh, im speechless. even the colors (complimentary) are artfully chosen. bravo +fav
