Description A 1:700 scale model of an Olympic-class ocean liner in a fictional condition. The model is an Airfix (re-boxed Academy) 1:700 scale kit of RMS Titanic being done as the fictional WWII British troopship HMS Resolute, formerly known as the ocean liner RMS Britannic nicknamed the "Patroness of the Mediterranean" after her service during WWI as a hospital ship under the guise of "HMHS Britannic" in 1915-1916. Under Royal Navy service since being commissioned in late-1939 or early-1940, Resolute was renowned for her age that sailors started calling her "Old Reso" but as her condition worsened by 1942, she began being called "Rusty Reso" due to the amount of rust developed both inside and out until she underwent a slight refit in the United States. After a fresh coat of paint to hide the rust on her hull, they began calling her "Old Reso" again and because of being referenced as such, all memory of being called the "Patroness of the Mediterranean" was forgotten right up to her loss in 1943.

The model is currently a work in progress and will feature a fair amount of aftermarket and even 3D-printed parts. I'll also wear the vessel for a diorama which I'll put a poll up for which scene you would love to see the complete model be displayed in. Noteworthy the display will be a resin one as I still want to see the full hull with the propellers in the water (will be adding something to look like they're spinning).
