Description
Helium-3 being what scientists say a very potent fusion fuel source. Scarce on Earth, but in incredibly plentiful amounts in space since it comes from the solar winds from the sun. If you've seen the movie Moon, you can understand.Basically the main body is a modified engineering section of a Constitution class starship. Though you can't see it, I removed the shuttle bay and replaced it with a 2 story hydroponic garden with viewports.
The lower hull is also the engineering section of a Constitution class, but at 3/4 scale. Kept the shuttlebay there, but replaced the deflector dish with a bridge housing minus turbolift for the station's reactor.
The "nacelles" are actually the fuel tanks the Helium-3 is stored. I was originally going to use the transport containers at 1/2 scale, but wanted detail so I did more kitbashing. The ends of the fuel tanks are actually navigational deflector housings at 3/4 scale with a bridge housing to replace the deflector dish. The pipes are of course the GNDN conduits.
Ribs, fins and exposed structure of course for detail.
