Description The awesome Jim Logan created a Christmas gift using my Star Trek: Gamma Fleet Operations ship the USS Monitor. I couldn't have been more surprised.

Here you see the USS Monitor (NCC 61826), a Nebula class starship, commencing its attack pattern Tango. The idea for the Monitor comes from repairing vessels rescued after the Battle of Wolf 359. The Monitor was repaired using a saucer section of a severely damaged Galaxy class starship. One of the few test beds for the for a detachable saucer section on a Nebula class.

I have to give a shout out to Jim for the incredible work he did with this. He does some amazing Star Trek pieces and you should definitely check out his page. You can start by giving him some love here;

of course we now know this to be theΒ "multi-vectored" attack system, getting hit from two or more angles is deadly.

I really like this. I always wanted to see a tactical version of either a nebula or Galaxy class. Lower profile saucer with maybe a Miranda style roll bar or maybe torpedo pods slung underneath on either side of the neck.

Well Nebula Class starships don't normally seperate, but for my project I wanted one that did. It only made sense that if it separated than the Stardrive section would have it's own Battle bridge portion.

Thanks for the Reply on my BlogPage. I really like the Artwork.Β  That streak of Yellow\Orange across the piece is great! Th Space-backdrop is nice as well! Would look really-well behind glass, too ... say 6 or 7 Metres wide- If I had a room that size, Β yeah hung on a wall in a minimalist-way!! Kind-of ... Β making a bold statement! Well done!Β
