History

Before Birth

Long, long before Bramblelight was ever born, her mother, Leafbreeze, was a young, spirited she-cat. She met Coalstorm not long after she became a warrior, and the two fell hard and fast for each other. The pair had their first litter of kits at only 14 moons old, and continued to have a litter nearly once a year, birthing lots of strong warriors for WindClan, leaving their bloodline strong within it. Bramblekit was born when Leafbreeze was nearly 80 moons old. It was Leafbreeze's last litter with Coalstorm, as he passed shortly after Bramblekit was born. Leafbreeze, in her mourning, found comfort and safety in her last kit.

Kithood

Having a mother as old as hers didn't help Bramblekit in her younger moons, as Leafbreeze's milk didn't come properly. She had to nurse off of a fellow queen, and often would have to be treated for ticks and fleas that her mother got. Leafbreeze, in her old age, with failing hearing and eyesight, still held herself with the high dignity of a warrior and high she-cat, and passed those traits onto Bramblekit, often reminding her that she was the last of a long, long line of blood that would serve WindClan. Bramblekit felt a bit intimidated under the pressure, but flourished under her mother's strict teachings. She was apprenticed right at six moons old, much to the absolute delight of her mother.

Apprenticeship

Apprenticed and ready to go, Bramblepaw was at the top of her class. She excelled at hunting, and stalking, but found herself falling short with fighting. Every day she would go visit her mother in the elder's den and tell her the stories of the day. Her older siblings, with many warriors, and even some elders, would encourage her every step of the way. Bramblepaw became vain, and craved more than the warrior position she wanted. Deputy, leader even! She could see herself climbing the ranks quickly, but was unsure.

Warriorhood

Once she became Bramblelight, the last of Leafbreeze's kits became a warrior. The she-cat, now entirely blind and nearing deaf, was proud and would puff up her chest anytime she could scent her only daughter nearby. When it came time for the Clans to move, Bramblelight did everything in her power to keep Leafbreeze alive and well, helping the elderly she-cat every step of the way. She was more than relieved when they finally settled into a place, and Bramblelight was able to return to her previous lifestyle of caring for her mother, and doing her warrior duties. She became humbled during the trip- two of her siblings that were also elders, from her mother's second litter, had passed on the way. She would make her mother proud, but not by clawing up the ranks.
