Merry Christmas, everyone!
Have a wonderful holiday and some really relaxing and calm days!This year I had the honor to contribute the artwork for the 24th in Akira´s Gundam Wing advent calendar . At first I thought about something really cheesy, colorful and christmas-y, but then I decided to do something more...well, fitting for the Gundam Wing universe and timeline. War times are hard times, and I doubt the boys would be able (or willing) to get ahold of a flashy christmas tree and typical holiday stuff, so...improvisation is the key to a simple, but successful Christmas eve.

First of all, I don´t use a tablet. I do all my linearts manually, scan them (at ~300dpi, b/w mode) and then import them into Photoshop (Version CS3, but Gimp will do the same job). Then I use my mouse (simple usb-mouse without any special features)to do the coloration. :> It takes a bit of practise to keep all the lines straight, but then again - what kind of drawing technique doesn´t require practise? |D;;

...oh. |D Das habe ich auch vorher nicht gesehen, ich antworte einfach immer stur in der Sprache, mit der man mir schreibt.
Viel Erfolg! Ich würde dir, wenn du mit der Maus arbeiten möchtest, eher ein raues (also stoffbezogenes) mousepad empfehlen als ein glattes aus Plastik, weil du da sichereren Halt hast. :3 Nur so als letzten Tipp.
