Fun fact: these are my favorite colors for cartography. Most of my more colorful stuff is for full-on worldbuilding.

What I really want to know is, what dirty tricks are you using for your coastlines? That seems a little too regularly irregular for a simple render clouds/threshold landmass.

Thanks for the fave on this! Β  Glad you like it.Β  I'm really partial to these colours as well.

These maps are made using the Polygon Map Generation demo , which has that "bumpy", uniform coastline style.

We should start a campaign to spread awareness about that. I actually have my own local webserver I used as a sort of playground, and I run a copy of that on it which I use to generate landmasses of all sizes just for fun/because they look interesting. Sometimes I isolate the various biomes and turn them into paths for fill/strokeΒ like this one . The game he refers to is Realm of the Mad God. That's how I found the old demo.

Maybe I'll do a tutorial on it this weekend.
