Hey...Uhm...I just got into this type of thing, and I was wondering what would you use these textures for and how? I'm a newby so go easy on me XD.

The 3 square textures are for the ground (they're snowy/rocky soil). Choose the one you like best and use it to do a flood fill on your map, to cover the entire area. Then begin adding the rocky overlays on top (make sure to keep each one on a different layer) and flip/mirror/rotate and position them to create more terrain features.

The base ground texture in that one is different, however, because I hadn't yet created the ones for the pack at the time I made that map.

Oh...this is for like Waecraft III and other games that allow you to make custom maps? It makes a bit more sense now...thanks.

Yes, they're resources for making your own custom maps. You can use them in special map-making software like Dundjinni, or by using image/photo editing software like Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro, GIMP, etc.

Okay, thanks for explaining it to me! I might get into this later on...my friend recently got the Warcraft III battle chest and he makes mods and maps for it all the time.
