Description
Well I finally managed to end this!I'm actually pretty happy with the result even though now I see some mistakes. I used my little concept art knowledge and it's shown to be quite useful. Now working on this has been a real pain because I wanted to make it REAL big and it took like 5 minutes to open, 5 minutes to save and endless wait to apply filters, transformations, etc. Plus countless photoshop crashes and computer freezes xD
The original was 8000 x 4500 px I had to reduced it 50% and then save it because the virtual memory was dying.
Wish me luck with the contest and I hope you like it !!

+ own stocks and handmade textures/ painted parts.
*Note that you might not see some of the stocks I listed, or at least they're not very visible in the work. That is because here I listed some of the stocks that I used till the very start and the work has changed a lot so that some of them may be hidden but still they were part of the creation and I want to credit them ^^

Thank you so much!! I honestly am impressed of how many people featured this work. It's funny how some works you think deserve more views and some others you think they're good but worse than others, get so much appreciation. Seeing and working too much with the same image definitelly makes you get too used to it haha. Thank you!

Aw, thanks for the compliment!! as I said answering a person when any of my manipulations gets more "popular" I always think how thankful I am for the stockers. In the end you dedicate your time to create amazing stocks and only ask to credit it properly. In the end you're a very important part of our work ^^

Yess!! haha, and uncountable reference photos to make the first structure. I also used lots of other stocks that I ended up changing, this is one of those times when I'm really thankful for all those amazing stockers out there that submit high quality photos. Without them any of the things that I do would bepossible. Thank you !!

Let's hope so! At least it has encouraged me to practice this kind of works. Indeed I took a look at your gallery and I found out your matte paintings. I remember that I once looked it up to see what it realy was and I didn't really came up with a clear idea but I like it!
I have no idea if what I did has any point in common with matte paitings but at least the working process looked like concept art paintings', so I'm going to try it more often. It's a challenging method for me but it definitelly is worth it.You're welcome

Could be... it is open to any interpretation because this one wasn't made with an original concept apart from the pure artistic concept. But in my mind I think it'd be similar to that interstelar portal that is in Asgard, I don't know how it's called. It appears in the movie Thor it's the rainbow portal or something like that haha, it kinda reminds me of that but honestly, the gate thing was a good pretext to create an exploring atmosphere as if something suddeny appeared among the snow and some warriors decided to explore it ^^

Yeah!! I definitelly believe so! It's been really worth it. You know sometimes when you work a lot in a piece you end up thinking it's going all wrong and somehow stop liking it, and that leads me to leave the artwork TOO often, so this is kinda an exception and seeing that it's come out well after all, encourages me a lot to keep working with this method ^^ Than you so much for the opinion!! Let's hope for the contest yeah hehe

Then you should give a try and work again on all those pieces you gave up !! I'm sure after a while you'll be able to come out with something great !

You're actually very right, because I tend to say yeeeees there's a mistake in there and I see it but I never go back and fix it. Fortunatelly I haven't given up with lots of works but I do have given up with lots of ideas, because the shapes or perspectives were too hard, or because I could never really see it in my mind clearly to recreate it with photoshop. So yeah, this ecnourages me to stick to my ideas till the end and always try to finish them. It really is challenging for me because I tend to hate the first stages of the works until the picture starts looking good and usually leave it because I can't see the improvement. Thanks for the advice!

This is absolutely fantastic I love the composition and the atmosphere - everything looks perfect, it's visible that getting this done must have required a lot work, time and effort. For a first time making a scenery manipulation, this is very impressive. Good luck in the contest, you really deserve to win! Great job!
