SDCC commission of batman vs Evil RyuUpdate: took about 2.5 hours, drawn at the hotel sitting area near the bar during the con.
tools: pens and copic markers w3 and w5
evil ryu could probably look a little more evil
i wasn't familiar with the current sf4 evil ryu, thus no hole in chest. i based this on his oldschool "dark ryu" look so i thought the pupiless eyes would do the trick. oh wells!Update 2: cleaned up the image a bit so it doesn't have that ugly "i shot this with a camera" gradient to it.

try finding the 2D fighting game maker program M.U.G.E.N. and you can have this battle i already got them both in mine. you can have crazy match ups across everything like homer simpson vs konata from lucky star or ronald mcdonald vs a gundam.

Your style is bold. The line work and marker shading are excellent. I particularly like the design on Batman's gauntlets.
Even without color, this pic rocks! The shading is done so well that you can't help but be pulled into the composition of the opposition. ha.
Batman's calm contrast to Evil Ryu's aggression is cool. At first I was thinking that Batman looked too disinterested, but then he's usually like that. I would imagine he would be especially so with someone he encountered for the first time that used some unknown power source. Arguably, Batman's martial arts training against Ryu's would be cool. Just thinking about it in a hypothetical sense.
In my head, Batman's cape on his right/our left would have flown more upwards, in a more dramatic/dynamic way. Again though, it's Baman. He's probably using the least amount of movement possible to fully analyze Ryu, and it also helps push that contrast more. Especially when Ryu's headband and belt are so dynamic.
