ok for those not familiar with these jam-a-thon sessions, basically a bunch of artists over msn decide on topics to draw and take 10-15 minutes to draw them. it's really interesting to see the outcomes of these short little sketches. of course only me and chamba were around to do this one thus naming this JAMATHON02c hehehe... because i wasn't around for the first one, and #3 should be huge XD
surprisingly, powergirl was the most frustrating to draw for both jeff and i. you'd figure that big breasts would be uber fun... (for those who can't make out what i wrote in the bubble for my powergirl, it says "dammit joe, work on drawing bigger breasts!!" XD
of course jeff absolutely KILLED me on the dynamic side of things XD. but hey, that's what he does best yo!!
this was totally fun, and can't wait to do some more!

Your versions of Joe and Charlie are very cool, and look great as character portraits, capturing all the detail etc. of who the character is, but the other guy's versions of them captures so damned well WHAT they do. On Powergirl you own. You make her look buff, powerful and sexy. His version of her feels too damn dainty and cute. Both of your stylesa have their benefits, glad to see what youve been up to!

I've gotta say that i really enjoy both collums... both are clean and well drawn... i love the right columns action but i love the awesome lines in the left one...

I just felt Joe Higashi's knee hit me in the mouth!!!! Wow great render of an action moment in time. I find you drawings more realistic and closer to the advanced comic form. Both of you did excellent jobs. I prefer his charlie to yours just because of the difficulty in the reverse forshortening. Everything else is all yours as far as my oreference goes.

It's very intersting to see you both drawing the same subject. Your version clearly has more attentio to detail, but it's not as dinamic as jeff's (somehow reminds me of mcfarlane stuff), but he's drawn a too extreme foreshortening. If you two mixed up, it could end up as an unbeatable drawing.

thanks, we tried sticking to characters we've never drawn before, although i have drawn charlie once previous.
