Yep Nitro Convoy/ Override are the same character, it's the Zoicite (Sailor Moon guy who got a forced sex change cause of his look when series was brought stateside, though Nitro Convoy never looked female to me at all so Hasbro just wanted a female on the team, weirdos If they wanted one, JUST MAKE AN ORIGINAL!)
Why could I see Flame Convoy's one classic line being used here.

It's been quite a while since I've posted a comment of any description...
This is gorgeous, from the charming concept, to the endearing presentation. You clearly have a very strong grasp of the subject matter at hand (no wonder you scored that professional gig with a certain ill-fated comic publisher!). You have captured the personality of these characters very well, and dispite the obvious distortion of their physical proportions, rendered their designs remarkably true to form. Your penmanship is typically refined, with crisp lines making up the bulk of this illustration. The colour is also very accomplished, something I don't generally attribute to you; the hues are richly applied, with convincing use of textural shade for body and depth. These two are very cute (especially the 'female' Override), and you've even managed to compliently incorporate your trademark chin-guard technique into the cutified style of the piece. The inclusion of a G1 Starscream doll is a stroke of genius! Is there anything to the romantic angle you've chosen to portray here?
My only complaint would be that the background, while suitably simplistic in its presentation, appears to be a little harshly rendered as far as colour density is concerned. At least, it does to my eye. But aside from this small facet, this is a fabulous piece of Transformers fan art, and one I believe you should be very pleased with. I am a huge fan of your work, and sincerely hope to be seeing a lot more of it in the not-too-distant future. Great stuff - keep it up, sir!

as for the starscream doll.. it's just that ALL the girls love starscream, so i figured i'd put a little plushie in there to show override's feminin side hehe.. whether or not she and ss have an actual romantic interest in the show is still uncertain to me.

As for the time and effort invested into my comments, t'was nothing - I really appreciate that which you have brought to us. You really are very talented, and an inspiration to those of us who would follow your lead. Not sure if this is the right place to be making such assertions, but I sincerely hope that you have landed comfortably on your feet after the whole Dreamwave debarkle. But enough about that.
Starscream certainly does appear to be a hit with the ladies, from what I've discovered about the Web (makes one kinda jealous, huh?), and your plushy was an inspired conveyance. A romance between he and Override? Woo, I bet Alexis won't be happy about that! Ah, the simple pleasures of unfounded conjecture...

hehe.. that's kinda a controversy running around.. in the japanese series override (nitro convoy) is a guy.. but in the american series override's a girl.. should be interesting on how they make the dub for the show XD
