I worked on this off and on for about 6 months. I almost abandoned it a few times, but I'm really happy it's finally finished. It drove me crazy, but I enjoyed trying to come up with solutions as to how to use the sandtroopers in the poses of the original Washington Crossing the Delaware painting. I also mistakenly drew and inked this on really waxy paper, so the ink kept beading up. It led to a few happy accidents, but mostly it took twice as long because of it. It's not perfect, but it's done. Hope you like it!Related content

Just brilliant. With imagery like this, is it any wonder everything about the Empire is just so much cooler than the Rebellion?
Also, although comparisons are made to the Nazis all the time due to the Empire's black and gray uniforms and such, the fact most of the Imperials seem to have British accents and they're an empire trying to put down a rebellion of predominantly American-accented people, instead calls to mind the Revolutionary War, with the Empire as Great Britain. Which makes this, a parody of possibly the most famous painting of the most famous Colonial general ever, all the funnier.
