Once upon a time, there was a young scientist name Verstael Besithia spend a whole chunk of time study about a legendary creature dubbed "The Adagium". Since he was talking about it nonstop, the court couldn't take it anymore, but couldn't fire him either and send him away in a "compulsory vacation" with a team of "bodyguard"; in case this nerd got himself stuck in a hole. Which he would, and eventually found a red head man with fishtail entangled in metal fishnet and pieced by harpoon.Separated from the bodyguard team, he couldn't free the fish by himself, and so they wait in the dark. The glowing scales on the tail spare Besithia from darkness, and in exchange, the young scientist cover the fish (or at least the human part ) with his coat.Talked their time through the night, the scientist come to realize the creature he was talking to might be the Adagium, but by now he couldn't use any of his planned method anymore...

Oooo lovely colors, and I love what you did with the tail fin... so feathery, and the twists are beautiful. Gorgeous luminescence, too! The skin-colored patches that look like holes near the base of the tail are super interesting, as they remind us of torn fabric, but it isn't, which is pretty cool because it makes you think of human vs fish. Love the spiny fin on his back, too. And all the flowers and the green stuff (I don't know the name of it)

Yeap, that Ardyn Izunia nΓ©e Lucis Caelum, the flower is red Sylleblossom and the green thing is just algae ^^. The rest is just bit I pick out from his design, like that wing he wore to the meeting and the torn fringe on his shoulder - most of them make no fashion sense so i just go with it.
Verstael Besithia is the one free Ardyn from imprisonment [reveal in Episode Ardyn], and if you have seen Noctis's three companion, then he is the father/source code of Prompto Argentum [the one with blond hair that look like a chocobo butt] ^^. To spice up the lore, when you play Prompto, there would be a move that look pretty similar to Ardyn's Deamonify. Verstael indeed had put a part of Ardyn into his MT baby, even from the first gen.

Ye, in the Brotherhood anime, whoever adopt him was too busy to teach him the basic to the point Prompto didn't even remove the tomato stem in the salad, hence a lot of us theory that was Ardyn snuck him out and adopt lil Prompto in order to spy on the Lucian (Ardyn don't need to eat and probably suck at cooking).
The good thing is, eversince after ep.Prompto, we forever joking about how he would go bald just like Verstael, and the dev took the chance with ep.Ardyn to add entry in the wiki, state that Verstael already modify Prompto genes so he wouldn't go bald XD

As much as I'm dislike their over-complicated writing, FFXV devs really put their mind on character development ^^.
You see, in ep.Ardyn, Versteal keep the Fire god Ifrit prisoner in the basement so Ardyn could deamonify him.
In the almost final battle of the main storyline, Ifrit scoop up older Prompto and almost burn him to death.
We wasn't think much of it back then, but then it hit.....IFRIT THOUGH PROMPTO WAS VERSTAEL because now Prompto got some beard and he look exactly like him!!!!
Kinda wondering if The Nilfheim wasn't at war with the Lucian, how many scandal Prompto would cause if the four travel to the capital XD.

Among the Hexatheon, seem like Shiva is the only god that care about human, and because of that, she was killed by Nilfheim trope. The only reason that Ifrit was captured was because he is her lover and was come desperately to save her. End up forcefully sleeping in a fridge and got daemonify by an angry human because that poor man thought he was betray by the god.
Ya, imagine, you and your bros come to Nilfheim for a summer trip, then got flicked off by 20 people in a row, got corner by some officer asking about some "deadline", got hounded by secretary ask to sign papers you have no ideas what about it ....XD

That was concocted with 25% for his bα»rthday, 25% for Mermay, and 50% shitposting spirit, but honestly, I do wish for an AU where Ardyn just dive to the ocean, carry Besi with him and ignore all the drama ^^Β
