Weekly Barometer SubmissionI admit it, I'm a hypocrite. But you know, so are a lot of people, and this is a great example of it. For those who don't know, two years ago in California, a high school girl was being teased by her fellow students about being a Mormon. While the students were teasing her, she muttered under her breath, "That's so gay." A teacher heard her and put her on disciplinary charges for being culturally insensitive. The girls tormentors got away without any consequences.
So apparently it is acceptable to openly harass somebody about their religion than it is to almost inaudibly mutter a phrase that has been commonplace in high schools for the past eight years or so. Apparently even politically correct can't manage to be impartial.

We live in a world that would rather get you in DEEP trouble for saying something politically incorrect, something that just sounded like it might be racist, than get a person in deep trouble for actually threatening somebody with violence. I speak from personal experience.

Nope. It's satire.
As a political cartoonist, my focus was on things that people do that don't make sense from a logical standpoint. This was on the double standard of politically correct, a philosophy based on total equality.
I personally don't care what people do with their lives as long as they don't hurt other people. I do think that people could stand to laugh at themselves a little more often, though.

At least you approve. I've gotten hate mail letters for getting this published. Personally, I wanted to get the Lord of the Rings comic printed, but the editor made the choice. One letter was from OSU's dean of the College of Humanities. I guess it's okay to make fun of people who won't defend themselves, and even using the word "retarded" makes me the devil.

"What do you think? It's the only activity where everybody is invited."
