The dark tom had been worn out, Tired and utterly depressed since the arrival to the city. He missed his home.. he missed his family.. friends... and worst of all he missed his freedom.. he hated the tight metal collar around his neck and the heavy metal chain holding him back unable to go to far without choking himself from it.

He had learned to accept that fact he was captured.. he was defeated... he and his home were destroyed and all because of that damn golden tom his mate called brother... he was no brother... he was no cat.. he killed without mercy.. he had no heart... he was nothing to him and never would be... but one thing he had to take into consideration.. without jasper having captured them.. he might not even have a mate or beautiful cubs here today.. Hazel... Ambers birthing was something Ethan had never seen before. Even worse he couldn't do a damn thing with that tom lingering over him... Seeing the humans surround his mate.. blood everywhere... it was a nightmare that never wanted to end...

He remembered screaming at the tom to get away from her as she screamed in pain as his children and her nearly died... All he could do was lay there his paws barely able to touch hers as she looked at him with eyes filled with worry, pain and confusion. Her Yowls still clouded his ears but when he turned and looked at the 3 cubs who played happily next to the master he had to smile.

He rolled over onto his side Content for the moment as his mate adjusted to him moving and laid her head on his side with a soft sigh. She too was tired and Worn out just from dealing with the cubs all day long. They were a handful but they loved them so much more then anything in the world. He let his eyes close as he somewhat drifted into a sleep still able to hear his cubs chasing butterflies and running past him, one even tripped over his paw as it skittered past after his siblings. He chuckled quietly... Ignoring the fact Jasper was only a few feet away from Master Anabeth who played happily with the cubs.

As he was falling asleep he felt the most softest touch possible on his nose. He didnt blink at first figuring it was one of his cubs and he made a soft grumble. But the touch smoothed up his nose bridge and over his head. Was that??

  His eyes shot open as his body grew stiff seeing eye to eye with Anabeth her hand stilled now, lingered at his nose gently and she made soft cooing sounds at him. Hazel had woken slightly with his sudden jolt/tense muscles . She didnt move but peeked with one eye open and spoke softly "Calm my love.. shes not going to hurt you... " She soothed as all his cubs came over, one on her back the others infront watching her hand begin to gently stroke his nose and head tuff.

Anabeths lips turned up in a smile so wide as Ethan looked back at her and his body slowly relaxed. This actually felt... kinda nice... His eyes closed and he tilted his head to the side where Anabeth scratched him under the chin making Ethan basically melt in her palms. He could head a Angry jasper near her grumbling under his breath and watching intently at ethan in case anything were to transpire. His cubs giggled, jumped and frolicked around them as Anabeth continued to gently and warmly stroke the dark male on the nose, ears, cheeks and chin.

  Maybe.. just maybe he could get used to this...
