Subject: My sisterDeveloped: Photosource Darkroom
35mm
No photoshop effects used.
This is my little sister who has autism. She has trouble sleeping a lot, and often wakes up and screams from nightmares. She looks at peace here though, and it tells me that she must be wrapped up in a lovely dream~ I value her happiness a lot and plan to make sure she stays happy when I take care of her when my parents are unable to
This was right after she took a bath and immediately fell asleep. D'aww, so cute. Her hair became matted on her forehead in an interesting formation.

i love this photo...the contrast is really soft and i think that adds a lot to it, even tho i know that a lot of people might say theres not enough contrast. but i think it works really well here.
i think it might have been better if you were closer to her and didnt show as much of the blanket
but good job

Thanks so much!! This photo was actually further away from her until I cropped it in the dark room. I, too, realized that it looked better closer but the enlarger could only zoom in so much. I plan to do some macro sleeping shots in the future. Thanks again for the advice

Yeah, I don't think I've seen many either! I guess it's because most people are polite enough to not want to wake others with loud shutter noises XD Thank you!

My brother went through that, too, as a little kid, so I understand how you feel. I love how shiny everything looks and how the image has such low contrast except for the hair, which makes her pop out.
