after hearing about some type of Sonic Crossover with Pac-Man I felt like making a couple of renders to consign with the eventI... wasn't sure if he'd be in his ghostly adventure design for this crossover so... I decided to make a render of this design just in case...

i don't get why people hate Modern Pacman so much....i mean one of the reasons is his design, which is a stupid reason, because his Party design was the same, except this one has fingers.
i mean at least this version was in Street Fighter X Tekken

I thought people who hated Spyro's Skylanders design were that bad (actually, I think it's much worse on Spyro's case but at least in Academy, they fixed his design not to make him look ugly but making him a little more charming and expressive in his design.)
I think the reason that sometimes people hate on Pac's redesign is because of the TV series but it's mostly his redesign (and the fact they made him as a kid), but for me, I found him more expressive (I know the classic can be expressive as well, but due to lacking any sclera and only having pupils it's sorta "restraining" to express certain emotions.)
How he appeared in the game made it worse though, look at this image comparison of Pac in the TV series along with his appearance in the games:Β i.imgur.com/EULPYPn.png His eyes are much larger and oval shaped while the one in the game is circular and not that wide as he appears in the TV series... His teeth showing up at certain times in the game did NOT help.
Mario Kart GP DX did some justice for Pac's eyes by making him look more like how he appeared in the TV series.

I think for a lot of fans it moreso has to do with what he represents in their eyes: Pacβs fall from popularity and relevancy into a bigger laughing stock than Sonic to the gaming community.Β
And most Pac fans werenβt even happy with SFxT either. If anything I found the giant wooden robot a lame excuse for him not being able to fight physically or some crud.
