It's somewhat of a real game. What you see is an early design of what Shadow was supposed to look like before they redesigned him.

If I was to name the other two [idk if there's a "shadowbotnik" or whatever]
I'd call Shadow Knuckles "Condyli" [latin word for Knuckles]
and Shadow Robotnik "Mechanicus" [Latin word for Mechanic]
