I use a giant plane above the model with a lot of emission, also bake AO and merge it with photoshop (along with lots of other touch ups)

Looks great! The reflection on the shoes looks awesome... But I'm too lazy to try and properly achieve that. I prefer using environment maps for reflecting, it's just easier
The mouth looks a bit blurry near the end of it. I don't know anything about Photoshop but I assume that wasn't supposed to happen.

Gotta wonder how you did the whole "only three quills" thing... Oh well. It does look like Sonic X, in a way, and I did kind of like how that show was drawn (the writing's a different matter) and the pose itself is pretty cool. I also really love how the shoes look.
