I unintentionally figured out how to do something close to Xenovere's cel-shading in Blender todayso here's a test render of Sonic in Xenoverse-like Style
(I personally prefer a more traditional cel-shading but it's rather interesting to figure out the technique to do it)

Looks more like Sonic 4 episode 1 to me. Why Sonic 4 episode 1 specifically? Well, in episode 1 Sonic was ridiculously shiny for some reason (least in the wii version) but the render looks amazing overall!
