Yay, another character sheet, this time featuring Damisi.You will see more of her in upcoming chapters of "Chiku's Training", so, in preparation for that, here's what she looks like.
I'll probably try and do Adla next...

Wow! Great job on the drawing! Although I must say I'm not the world's biggest fan of her, 'cos she's always saying how thankful Duni should be and telling her she should stop being so selfish when both Safi and Faraji turned her down. Poor Duni, as if she needed it.
But, you did really well with the drawing! How do you do it?

Hahah Damisi can be very quick to judge indeed. You see her now, in Chiku's tale, so young, and already passing judgment about Adla. It doesn't help that Chiku's outspokenness (lol is that a word) has sorta rubbed off on her too.
That trait of hers doesn't fade while she grows up, and sadly Duni tends to be the target of their blunt judgment a lot.
And, if you think it from their point of view, they are right, harsh as they may be... How can Duni take care of a cub?
Damisi does have a good heart though, and more than once she kept an eye on little Njano herself.

As for the anatomy, I'm using a whole lot of references from the film as well as real lions, and Jeroen checks up my stuff and makes corrections before I post it online. If it weren't for him, I'd have uploaded very strange-looking lionesses heehee.

I don't know exactly, but it wouldn't fully correct to say my mind pictured her with 100% accuracy... :D
And it's great, the more refs you use now, the faster you'll learn all the little things, anyone who wants to improve needs some stuff to refer to every now and then, and even better if there are skilled people to help as well

Yeah! Funny thing is I can now look at that picture I made for Koai's contest and I can think of a thousand things I could redo, especially for the lioness' body haha. Ah, maybe I'll do an update image once I get the hang of lion bodies.

She is very sweet, although she comes across a bit more bitchy in "Njano's secret", being all judgmental with Duni. That's what hanging out with Chiku did to her. ;D
