LOL! She does actually have a back pack on, you can just make out the straps. The body angle hides the pack for the most part, agreed!
Perhaps she may be hiding something underneath her hat though?

It is very easy to work with, and you can use the hair without the hat, or the hat without the hair (although I imagine that may not look quite right...)
