This piece was commissioned by an ultra cool Swede who wanted to see he and his brothers depicted as some uber badass Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine Terminators of their own custom chapter (what's not to love??).

I like how the ground is just welling up around their feet and crumbling, unable to sustain the weight of a terminator in a charge.

Sabaton is a brilliant band, and their latest album, Carolus Rex, encompasses the history of the Swedish Empire, with a special emphasis on Charles XII. I had to play a few of the songs seeing this image. Long Live the Lion among Pots, and pity whoever is in the way of those three.
