Hey!This'll be the last piece for this Wintersession's "Monster" class! The theme this week was Metamorphosis (as opposed to last week's "Transformation". Go figure.)
Unfortunately this is the most slap-dash effort of all four and a bit of a lame finale. I went through a few pages of mediocre, cutesy ideas before I settled on just doing something so that I wouldn't be too ashamed to come into class today. I was thinking of Metamorphosis as more of an inward change than an outward one, and this piece is the result of some recent thoughts about insanity vs. sanity.
I've been putting all my fullest attention into getting together my Music Video final and making plans for this upcoming weekend. It's a busy time as I prep for next semester...more about that up on the blog:

Despite being nothing much, enjoy! More illustration work will be coming fast and furious with the next semester!

It's simple, and vertical, and I really like the idea of a mental morph.
The light falls beautifully on the character, and I can't help but get this feeling he knows something I don't, something powerfully enlightening it could change your world. And, maybe just to a small degree, I want to know what he's thinking, to be enlightened too.
I think it's a fabulous message, and the detail - as always - is unbelievable! How do you know where to put all those wrinkles?

I kind of want a floating orb to glow above my head now. Once again, I love your wrinkles, but also the serenity the old geezer seems to emanate.

The lines >:c I am green with envy! But also red with uh love or something like that. Great colors as well, the sky/ bg is very subtle and nice!

I like how you expressed the theme here! It allows the viewer to make their own interpretations while still giving us a basic frame of what is going on.
