When there was a mention of a "Golden engine" before Thomas and the Beanstalk was released, people actually believed that Lady would make an appearance, but when this "Golden engine" turned out to be a new character, several people were rather disappointed.

And before you ask, I actually don't have anything against Golda (That's the Golden Steam Engine's name I gave her) and the book actually wasn't that bad, but I too felt like it was a missed opportunity to bring Lady back, in my eyes.
