It's a Sea Knight but...basically the same thing..just smaller . The Chinnoks landed a few times at the dam too. But the Sea Knights, and 53's were most common.

Oh, I thought all helicopters with the rotors in that configuration were called chinooks, my bad.

They are, the CH-47 is the US ARMY Chinook it is a little larger than the CH-46 Sea Knight. You weren't wrong at all just misindentified the 46..it happens
