here was the original image I worked from loosely. Ask Silver-sehkmet... this concept of strange intestines/ orbs attached with tubes thing just stuck with me whenever i feel a need to draw abstractly, usually cause of an artist block.Without realization though, from the first time i did this style before college to the time in color theory when i created a massive 5 panel chalk drawing of this (each panel was approximately 2 feet by 2 feet i think or bigger) and then now, I've gotten more and more complicated and always broke out of the borders with my work.
IT just stuck. And it could be related to the complications and journeys of life. With that in mind, it'll help me explain the 3D piece i'll post right after this.

none taken. Abstract is just that. You see what you want to see. It has a personal level for me, but that doesn't mean others will see it the same way.

yup, one time I was at my backyard with my mom and I said look at the clouds what do you see? ay nada mija ( oh nothing babe) in spanish and I am like well .. I see stars and uhm a train and she laughs. lol.
that is why I adore abstract art.

it's good to hear you keep an open mind to it. I'll be honest, some abstract art freakin' blows. But sometimes, it is just pleasing or interesting to look at, may even strike an emotion of sorts.

I was about to go to sleep the other night when i decided to work on a figure drawing of one of my friends (same as in Purple Sangria, more of a Mucha-esque pose). Sometimes it just hits me and I need to draw. Problem is I work so much here that I don't draw as often, or nearly as good, as I use to.

Looks like neurons. Really really does. You could get all artsy and say something along the lines of how we've all become computers etc etc but then you'd nauseate your audience. Lovely shading and textures.

an atom or a gene ... those are great words to describe this since I needed to think microscopic. We can't see this in real life, but to give it a real life quality, to want to touch ti as if it was real? It's a compliment to hear that
