Description
Godzilla vs. The Cloverfield Monster(Pen and digital color)
I made this right after seeing Cloverfield. Of course, at the point I drew this, I was just going on what I remembered from the movie and the few stills of the monster on the web. Although this picture came out well, in my opinion, the fact that Clovey is wrong makes me dislike it. Thus, into 'My Scraps' it goes.

Not necessarily, it could just play dead, like it did in the movie when it got hit with the missiles.

No, Godzilla always goes for the kill. Remember when he fought Hedorah? They dried him out, Godzilla still tore into Hedorah's face to pull out the eggs inside when Hedorah seemed dead. Or in G2K when he fought Orga, Orga was done he could barely walk, yet Godzilla still blew his ass up. If Godzilla even thinks it'll get back up he will kill it.

what will godzilla do if the adult clover large enough to swallow godzilla whole & tries to eat godzilla for breakfast?!

In that very specific scenario, a Nuclear Pulse in mommy's throat (Orga style) is probably the 'go to' attack.
I got a better question though, how would an adult even chew Godzilla? Every incarnation of Godzilla has been shown to be INCREDIBLY durable, how would the adult get passed that?

godzilla's thick hide could possibly be harder to chew while this what happens when the mom is many times bigger & tries to eat him because mother animals after producing children always become hungry easily while larger animals need more food than smaller ones.

But that doesn't actually matter. This isn't 'Godzilla vs Cloverfield's parents,' is it?
And who is to say how much larger an adult is to a baby? What if Clover is the tallest his species gets? You guys are taking huge leaps of faith in assuming he'd get any bigger.

could it probably because the adult size of clover is for Clover to be famous for being the 1st kaiju to overpower, underestimate & dwarf Godzilla & all other kaijus of Japan & America?

rakaru In reply to Pyro-raptor [2014-08-10 07:16:46 +0000 UTC]
Clover doesn't lift anything, so we can't accurately judge his physical strength as a baby, though he was able to throw Lady Liberty's head several miles (maybe more, maybe less) inland with ease. Godzilla, on the other hand, we do have accurate ways of testing how strong he is (E.i. he has repeatedly been able to toss King Ghidorah, a kaiju who weighs many times Godzilla's own weight). I don't think you're using 'underestimate' correctly. And, again, until an office size for an adult Clover comes out, its all conjecture. Sure an adult Clover could dwarf Godzilla, or maybe the baby Clover is as tall as Clover will ever get which would make him shorter than LegendaryGoji, Destroyah, and Biollante.

No, J.J. Abrams never said how tall a fully grown Clover would get. What do I mean about what exactly?

jj Abrams is not but Matt Reeves is the director. So what about Matt Reeves? Did he said anything about the adult? I thought saw somebody mentioned in one of the comments of a YouTube video that the director said in an interview that the adult is 3 times bigger. So did he ever said that?!

I could've sworn Abrams directed Cloverfield. Hm, I must be confused, my bad. Anyway, I looked that up, didn't find anything where Reeves talks about the size of an adult Clover. So, yeah, that's an unsubstantiated claim.

But Neville Page did said something about Clover as an adult.

rakaru In reply to Pyro-raptor [2014-08-10 21:19:58 +0000 UTC]
How is it obvious?
How do we know that whatever Clover is, he's species doesn't undergo one huge growth spurt and than never grow again? Like a dog? A dog will reach its maximum height at, what, half a year to a year old? Then never grow any more for the entirety of their ~9 years of life. What if Clover is like that and he has already reached the max he's species can grow to?

isn't the large size of clover also due to the slusho-stuff it feeds on which shows that its parents may not be too much extremely bigger than the size the exceeding height of skyscraper which dwarfs godzilla?

What i mean is that there is a deep sea ingredient which is responsible for Clover's large size.

rakaru In reply to Pyro-raptor [2014-08-10 21:41:20 +0000 UTC]
Yes. The monster in the move Cloverfield could be a fully grown 'baby' in the same way that a 6 month old dog is a fully grown 'puppy'.

What do those have to do with anything?
The first one is a link to why Clover is larger than Godzilla (which he isn't if we're talking Legendary Goji. And gives wrong heights for even the smallest Goji. As well as uses a math that would be disproved if anything like either Godzilla or Clover actually exited.
The second points to why Cloverfield is large for his species. I don't get what you're trying to do anymore.

Very nice and quite creepy, i wouldn't worry about clover being inaccurate, it doesn't detract from the picture.
Godzilla would win though it would be a cool fight.
