Description
I was taking a road trip with my room mate (Sparten ) and we were nearing the end of our day up in the snow. As we were driving back we saw a clearing on the side of the road and this is what we both saw. So being the photographers we are, we sat there and climbed rocks and took tons of photos of this.For those of you who are wondering, yes this is a real place! It is in Oregon, Highway 20 going between I-5 and Bend, OR. Feel free to comment!!

Definitely you gotta come over here during the winter! Its really REALLY fun to hit up all the mountains for skiing, snowboarding, or if ur a rally car guy (like me) driving lol.

Aw I wish I could... but I'd miss too much of ski racing... Oh well. I'd rather be in MN freezing my twins off ski racing... but Mt. Hood is pretty amazing.
But don't get me wrong, if I could, I'd love to spend my spring break in OR.

Very nice. Love the green vs blue and the deep DOF. I'd sharpen it once and up the yellows in the green a bit, makes a world of difference.

Hmmm I'll have to try and mess around with it a little. Sucky thing for me is i'm severely colorblind so I'm not that great with playin with colors. *sigh*

Haha nope! No photoshop (beyond adding the frame thing around it) or color correction or anything. Just straight from the camera!

Actually, I was standing on this boulder on the very edge of a very steep cliff (well actually my room mate and I both were lol) so.. I was about 2 feet from certain death but hey it was worth it! The view was like this for miles and miles every way I looked. It was amazing to say the least.

But I bet that this shot was a once in a life time one.
I remember seeing the Grand Canyon for the first time (I was eight or nine back then). I thought it was so boring and uninteresting because of all the browns and oranges and earthy colors.
If I was that age still, I would be amazed to see this view, even as a kid...!

This shot I think really was once in a lifetime. The snow level was pretty high still so I managed to capture the start of the snow in the mountains in the back. What was more amazing was the fact that it was actually clear enough to see the mountains! The rest of the day was VERY foggy! Just was lucky I guess! (Well so was my room mate because he took some photos of it too!)
I've always wanted to see the grand canyon! I've heard so many things about it but I've never been able to venture on down that way. Another really amazing place (and definitely surreal) is Yellowstone if you have never been. All those geothermal vents and pools are just SO amazing to see. Tons of colors and stuff. And thats sayin alot from me... since i'm colorblind! lol.
But yeah. make it a goal to one day travel around and see the world! Even if you don't have a camera with you. Its just amazing to go places and see new things. I definitely have it as one of my goals! Even though I am a poor kid (well because I spend my money on camera stuff and my car lol). You will get there!

I'm sure that'd you really like the G.C. because of all the formations in the rock and sandstone. :3 Yeah, Yellowstone is one of the places I haven't been to, even though, when me and my family go on roadtrips, we usually go through the middle of the US. LOL, I never get to go up north.
I do try to take pictures whenever I can when I'm someplace really cool, except I never get them developed... xD And plus a I don't have the money, lol.

I think it was just a luck of being in the right place at the right time. But really all of Oregon is amazing. So many different things from deserts to forests, mountains, and oceans. I definitely would recommend it to anyone!

Scotland?! I want to go there one day!! In fact I want to tour pretty much all of the world. So many cool and wonderful places to see. Scotland is definitely on my list of places-to-see-before-i-die-so-yeah lol.
