Bot necessarily. Some photos and sketches are a lot better in Black and White.

True I probably love blk & wht drawings more than color but, then I spent years drawing blk & whit portraits and I love the Twilight Zone from the 1959-1964.

Thanks I've always liked those birds eye and worms eye views ever since my art teacher from highschool open my eyes to anatomy and life drawing.......now that's the part of highschool I miss the most.....

Thanks. I'm using Photoshop CS 9. I basically laid down the base colors as flats with the pen tool and then I added all the other colors on different layers (airbrush) with different levels of opacity. I think it makes it easy for me to built the skin tones but then you still need to know where to apply your highlights, warm and cool colors too.
