Howdy howdy to y'all-Here's my contribution to the Cloverfield/1-18-08/Monsterous/Parasite/JJ Abrams kaiju design thing going on here on DA. Generally speaking, this is more or less an amalgamation of the different design theories floating about on the interwebs. The whale aspect is worked into the face and the ventral pleats. The reptilian aspect is worked into the general idea of the body and tail, along with the claws and selected texture. Of course, the kaiju is humanoid, being bi-pedal and having digits. I also threw in some idea about parasite with the teeth. Overall, I really like the way this came out. I doubt the monster will actually look like this, but wouldn't it be cool?
Also, if anyone wants to slap some color on this, be mah guest. Just hook me up with a link and it'll be all good.

My son has been keeping me posted about Slusho and whatnot...and I've read stuff about the military shelling some big kaiju beast and its parasites fall off and attack people. I can't wait for this flick!
