Page 8 of "Embattled Encryptid", a story that highlights the talents of Don Smith and Nick Mockoviak.The last page of our story. JD ain't none-too-thrilled with Bigfoot's sudden appearance. Bigfoot's ready to rumble. Oh yeah...that's entertainment kiddos.
Had fun with this page. Went for an Art Adams approach with rendering the hair, but came up short. Very short. But hey, I had a blast, and that's what matters right?

Some fantastic work you got here! I always admire your inking skills and it really shines in the comic. You should definitely create some more. My only suggestion to you is that you should add more sound effects. It seems like the Jersey Devil and Mothman are having a very quiet battle. It needs more "Rrrrr" or "Raawr" in it. It may sound silly but can really enhance the atmosphere and the mood of the comic.

My buddy and I have kicked around our own comic for years but admittedly we're too lazy/distracted with other things to work on it. I have notes and scribbled panels somewhere that I want to polish up and debut soon. This story gave me a chance to do a full-on sequential and while I kicked and screamed the whole time, I do like it. The perfectionist in me doubles and triple thinks everything way too much "just to make sure" what I have is the absolute best choice.
With the inks.....I went a bit different with leaving it more "open" then what I usually do with more heavy-handed rendering and using spotting to convey mood and atmosphere. And with the copy, I have pages that are lettered and with effects, but it's done so poorly that I refuse to post them.
