This is my project for Math Appreciation Week at college April 20th-24th, 2009.

Our Professor said that out of all the years no one seems to have attempted making a giant platonic solid. I thought about it and said to myself, "I can do that." I was just gonna make one out of wooden dowels but I figured that would be a bit more expensive than I would like. So I figured I would look up some youtube videos like he suggested for those of us wanting to make something kinda like this and I think I found the video he was talking about. The edge of each triangle is 5 ft which is almost as long as I am tall. So I'm guessing at its tallest if it were to stand on one of its points it would be about 9 or 10 feet tall.
