Description
I hate drawing people but for class we were required to draw ourselves after taking a picture and using it as a reference. I was happy to finally have a decent self portrait drawn now. Unfortunately I forgot to turn off the flash of the camera which caused a bit of a problem that I didn't realize until I was nearly done with the piece. I suppose I could set up some dramatic lighting, retake the photo and incorporate the shading of that into this drawing but I'd like to leave this piece alone for now. I could always just attempt to draw another one anyway. I do love how my pea coat came out though.

Today I decided to shade in the face and throw in a simple background. Looking at it now I see a few things I may change eventually, we'll see.
