Description
Make of this piece what you will. Maybe this Merfolk's mother needed Minnow to hold him for a few minutes while she took care of something else? This kid isn't much older than what we'd still consider a toddler. He sure is more muscular than our babies tend to be, though. Merfolk young have to be ready to swim with their parents from birth.
You may've noticed the "Dolphin" Merfolks' nostrils have moved up to the top of their heads, so you can imagine how a Merfolk child being exposed to humans for the first time may be curious about why our noses are so far down.
That's it for today. Just wanted to upload something cute.

Cool. I should be able to release it in a coupla' weeks, if everything goes well. Just letting you know you won't have to wait for the full story much longer.

Aww, this is so cute! Nice to see Minnow happy. It looks like the mer-kid has both a nose on top and a set of gills, is that right?

Yep. They're at a mid point of sorts where they still need their lungs, but they're growing gills that may one day prove more useful. Other merfolk types have gills that are much more developed.

Ah, that makes sense. So do the dolphin-folk still have to surface for air occasionally?

And why are your spots so small? And what is all that gross fuzzy stuff growing out of your head?! XD, sorry, couldn't resist, seriously adorable scene between Minnow and the baby, :3
