This kid isn't much older than what we'd still consider a toddler. He sure is more muscular than our babies tend to be, though. Merfolk young have to be ready to swim with their parents from birth.

You may've noticed the "Dolphin" Merfolks' nostrils have moved up to the top of their heads, so you can imagine how a Merfolk child being exposed to humans for the first time may be curious about why our noses are so far down.
