Description
Ashford Academy gymnasium, 12:10 p.m. Atlas was still talking about his reasoning for why the Black Knights and Tokyo Mavericks should be punished with death, for their actions against Britannia and the Confederate Enclave. During the filibuster, Kallen and C.C. sneakily took out the Atlas military guards, tying them up and replacing them with Black Knights and Tokyo Mavericks, while the UNF judges were looking bored of Atlas prattling on.Atlas: In conclusion, the Black Knights and Tokyo Mavericks are morally bankrupt criminals that must face execution for their crimes against humanity. We will hand any and all evidence over to you as you request. Thank you.
Atlas sat down with his prosecutors, as Alistair and Lelouch finished setting up their plan to prove the executive wrong. Ohgi and the others noticed the change of the guard, and looked at Atlas.
Ohgi: Mr. Atlas, we’ve heard what you’ve had to say, and we’re going to speak our minds about this whole thing.
Atlas: Go ahead, Prime Minister, I’m all ears.
Ohgi: Good. Not only has what you’re saying been complete bullshit, we all know for a fact that you’ve been responsible for the same crimes you say the defense has done, if not aided in those crimes. Why? Because we've been the people you’ve been fighting.
Atlas: You’re not making much sense.
Seth: Deny it all you want, but we’ve seen every report from when Hawking had control over America.
Xingke: Willingly giving weapons to serial killers, murderous psychopaths, terrorist militias, bank robbers, jewel thieves… Jesus!
Tianzi: How can you deny these horrible things you let happen?!
Atlas: There’s some sort of mistake in your claims. I can tell, you haven’t seen the revised international laws. You see, it doesn’t matter what the public opinion is, as long as business marches forward. The public opinion doesn’t matter, when our best customers are happy and alive, thanks to us. So, no matter how much you will it for me to be the villain in these scenarios-
Kaguya: Let me guess. The law requires that you answer “no”?
Atlas: You catch on, quickly, little lady. Now, the guilty verdict for the defense, please.
Ohgi: Ah-ah. The defense now has the time to show if the claims about the Atlas Corporation are true.
Atlas: That’s not how this works. Kill them on the spot, at once.
Ohgi: Zip it!
Ohgi glared at Atlas, who then leaned back in his seat, sighing in disappointment.
Ohgi: Good man. Mr. Wake, Mr. Lamperouge, the floor is yours.
Alistair: Thank you, Prime Minister. Now, we’ll just have to use that screen behind you real quick…
Alistair pushed the enter key on Lelouch’s laptop, and the screen at the back of the gym booted up, showing documents, video footage and photographs of Atlas employees engaging in criminal activities, even Atlas, himself. The audience began reacting, for once, especially after being stone-faced to Atlas’ bold lies.
Atlas: What do you think you’re doing, Wake?
Alistair: Oh, just a bit of compiling that the reinstated authorities picked up on you. Such as the murders of several people in Hawaii, when Hawking bit the dust. I think you remember me and my buds helping with that?
Ohgi: Not looking good for you, Mr. Atlas.
Atlas: This still means the accused are guilty.
Alistair: Oh, look, Knightmare development! Seems every other country has been...making their own. Is that Charlie Atlas? Hey, look, Charlie, you’re on TV!
Atlas: You can shut that off, now. It’s over.
The evidence still showed on the screen, despite Atlas’ attempts at saving face, videos showing that while Atlas, Incorporated couldn’t create their own Knightmares from scratch, they could make weapons and make other Knightmares already made, handing them to criminal groups around the globe to blend in with Britannia’s now defunct expansion.
Alistair: I’d say that’s a lot of years in prison time, maybe life?
Ohgi: Agreed. All five judges have come to a unanimous decision. Alistair Wake and the rest of the defendants are innocent, and the prosecution, Atlas, Incorporated, is guilty of all charges.
Atlas: (laughs) It’s funny that you think you can just break the rules, like that. You see, the only verdict that’s acceptable is a guilty verdict on the accused. Their assets will belong to me, and I will reign as a corporate superpower. Otherwise, everyone in this room will die.
Tianzi: You’re going to prison for your crimes.
Kaguya: There’s not a chance that you’re getting out of this unscathed.
Xingke: I’ll arrest you myself, if I have to.
Seth: You’re shit out of luck, buddy.
Ohgi: Face it, you lose.
Atlas: (smirks) So be it.
Atlas snapped his fingers, signalling his soldiers to start firing at the audience. However, there was no gunfire. Confused, Atlas kept snapping his fingers, then looked at the railings to see that his guards were arrested and replaced with Black Knights and Tokyo Mavericks, aiming their guns at him. Sweat started forming on his face, the businessman panicking.
Lelouch: Something wrong, Atlas? Is this not how you thought things would go down?
Shirley: For such a perfect owner of a large corporation, you kinda suck.
Atlas: And, you think children like you have any right to criticize me? Impossible, even for the poorest man.
Rivalz: Buddy...you’re slime.
Ohgi: Charlie Atlas, you’re hereby sentenced to life in prison, for crimes against humanity.
Atlas: That’s literally impossible. You can’t do anything to me, without causing an international crisis. I have diplomatic immunity, you can’t touch me!
Alistair: (smirks) Prove it.
Atlas huffed with pride, as he reached into his briefcase, looking for documents, then panicked again, realizing they weren’t there. Alistair then held the documents the man was looking for, in his hand.
Alistair: Looking for these?
Atlas: Hand them over, Wake. Now.
Alistair: Ooh, sounding desperate, now. Where’s that professional, cocky attitude gone?
Atlas: Respect. Your. Boss. Now, hand over my diplomatic immunity papers.
Rivalz brought over a paper shredder, and Alistair sent every single document through, ruining them beyond recognition.
Alistair: Oops.
Atlas: (glares angrily) You rebellious, bratty motherfucker! You’ll pay for this! YOU’LL ALL PAY!
Atlas brought out some sunglasses, put them on, and threw a flashbang grenade down, blinding everyone. When the flash cleared, Atlas and his goons were gone.
Lelouch: Dammit, he’s getting away!
Alistair: Let him run. We’ll see him, again.
Shirley: What makes you so sure?
Alistair: He’s an egotistical brat who just lost every single sponsorship he ever made in one fell swoop. Next time we see him, we’ll fight him. I guarantee it. (brings out walkie talkie) Schneizel, how goes rounding up the stragglers?
Schneizel: (over radio) Going smoothly. The bounty money for these soldiers will go straight to the relief fund for Japan. Now, all that’s left is- Oh, my God.
Alistair: What? What is it?
Lelouch: (looks shocked, taps Alistair’s shoulder) Uh, Alistair?
Alistair turned around to look at the screen, as a look of shock that rivaled Lelouch’s came across his face. On the screen was Britannia’s secret weapon, the Damocles. A 3000 meter floating fortress, whose design Alistair recognized, all too well.
Alistair: No…! That’s impossible! They rebuilt it?!
Lelouch: What?! What are you talking about?!
Alistair: That’s…! That’s Fort Helios!
