Tokyo Mavericks Ueno base, 9:24 p.m. James' SWAT Knightpolice came into the hangar, heavily damaged, James exiting the Knightmare.

Mavericks Engineer: Where the hell were you?!
James: You know how the Primebloods were attacking civilians, a couple hours ago?

4 hours ago, outside the Specially Administrated Zone of Japan. James' SWAT Knightpolice shot down numerous Renegades and Primebloods Knightmares, before coming across an unknown unit. The Knightmare had two swords, a green cape and a dark blue leopard paint job.

James: What the hell is that thing?
Ramsey: Well, well. If it ain't the Neutral Good cop. Aren't you supposed to be a dying breed?
James: Ramsey!
Ramsey: Your buddy Orange may have gotten in my way, but it won't matter, now. The long awaited reveal of our unity. Glorious. This Ose will be your end, benevolent scum.
James: Ars Goetia, huh? Wait, "this" Ose? That's not the only one?
Ramsey: It's my Ose. It's not just 72 demons. Some are mass produced.
James: Shit...
Ramsey: (Ose draws MVS swords) Time for our showdown.

Ramsey's Ose charged at James' Knightpolice, which dodged at the cost of its assault rifle being sliced in half.

Ramsey: What's wrong? Can't fight without a gun? Too bad!
James: (thinking) Dammit! He knows! Improvise, improvise...!

James' Knightpolice picked up a chainsaw katana from a destroyed Renegade Burai and blocked the Ose's next attack.

Ramsey: Well, aren't you just full of surprises? You're gonna die, nonetheless!

The battle between James and Ramsey raged on, leading further and further away from the Special Zone. 2 hours after the battle's beginning, Ramsey's Ose was searching for James' Knightpolice, in a ruined town.

Ramsey: Oh, Jamie! Where are you?

James' Knightpolice was hidden in one of the abandoned buildings, James getting sick of Ramsey's taunting. The SWAT Knightpolice drew the sniper rifle it acquired and aimed it at the Ose. With only two shots left, the Knightpolice fired both of them into the legs of the Ose.

Ramsey: What?! How-?! Where-?!

The SWAT Knightpolice jumped out of the building and threw two Chaos Slayers at the Ose, the barrage of shrapnel damaging the Primeblood Knightmare, and ruining the MVS swords.

Ramsey: This tactical shit's getting old!

Ramsey saw the Knightpolice charge right toward his Ose, chainsaw katana in both hands.

Ramsey: Dammit!

Ramsey ejected from the Ose, and James' Knightpolice destroyed it.

Present time, Tokyo Mavericks Ueno base. James finished explaining what had happened to the engineers.

Mavericks Engineer: Holy shit, man! Are you Bryan Mills, or something!?
James: All I have is cop training. I have no idea how I survived that, but I'm glad. I need a rest.

The next day, at the Shinjuku Mavericks base, Alistair arrived at the hangar, alongside Cornelia, Darlton, Guilford, Kanda and Tamaki. They saw the new Knightmares that Cornelia designed. One had a red head, blue arms and legs and a brown cockpit, its weapons made for hand-to-hand combat. One had a gold and green paint job, looking akin to a master swordsman. One had a purple and gold paint job, with a large weapon. The last had an orange paintjob, with numerous single edged swords.

Tamaki: Damn... Those are cool.
Cornelia: (pulls out keys) I've got the keys, right here.
Alistair: You have no idea who you just reincarnated, do you?
Cornelia: Huh?
Alistair: These are people, human beings that lived in Japan, who became gods, just 'cause they were badasses! (points at green Knightmare) Koga Saburo! (points at orange Knightmare) Omoikane! (points at close combat Knightmare) Tenkai! (points at purple Knightmare) Michizane!
Tamaki: How the hell do you memorize those names?
Alistair: Curiosity. (takes Knightmare keys) Now, the four of you will be assigned one of these National Defense Divinities, based on your skills. Kanda. Your intelligence and strategy have been a great help. You may not have had much time in Knightmare combat, but Omoikane will help with that. (hands Kanda Omoikane's key) Enjoy your new partner.
Kanda: Thanks. Huh. It's...pretty cool.
Alistair: Guilford. You're more of a speed demon than you realize. Not only do you hit hard, but you move fast. For that, you get Koga Saburo. (hands Guilford Koga Saburo's key)
Guilford: From what I heard, there are thin swords in the forearms, that can combine together, if need be. I like it.
Alistair: Darlton. You've been a hard hitter, preferring to be up close and personal. You prefer the big guns. So did Tenkai. (hands Darlton Tenkai's key)
Darlton: So, he must have been a master martial artist. I'll give this a shot.
Alistair: Finally, Tamaki. You've developed skills far beyond what you've intended. Your masterful aim strikes true, like a bolt of lightning. Therefor, the thunder god Michizane is at your disposal. (hands Tamaki Michizane's key)
Cornelia: So, he gets the railgun, huh? Nice.
Tamaki: Wait, Michizane doesn't have a sniper rifle?
Cornelia: Well, I didn't really think of that-
Tamaki: Hold on!

Tamaki took out his cell phone and his Burai walked into the hangar, Tamaki entering the cockpit. Tamaki's Burai pulled out its sniper rifle and presented it to the Michizane.

Tamaki: I've used this sniper rifle a lot. I've rarely ever missed a shot with this. Please, make this a permanent part of your arsenal. Otherwise...

The Michizane slowly began moving on its own, taking the sniper rifle, by the barrel, putting its stock on the ground, then bowed before Tamaki's Burai.

Guilford: What...?
Cornelia: ...The hell?!
Alistair: They live. Deep down, they live. The AIs are there, they just can't speak, much.
Guilford: I must bond! (runs towards Koga Saburo)
Darlton: If this is what comes with the new Knightmare, then count me in!
Kanda: This is gonna be awesome!

Meanwhile, at the lab beneath the former Britannian government building, Bartley was overlooking a strange vat, with something inside of it.

Bartley: Damn! Signs of consciousness! Hurry!
Scientist: Nothing's working! He'll wake up, tonight!
Bartley: Try everything! Everything!

2 hours later, unknown Primebloods base. Ramsey stumbled into the control room, collapsing to the ground, after constant running.

Ramsey: (panting) God, I hate running.
Decker: You're lucky. The invasion of Tokyo's starting, tonight.
Ramsey: Wait, didn't Schneizel kill you?
Decker: Decoy. Same with the others. Although, Sledge is a bit...traumatized.
Jackknife: He can still pilot. That's all that matters. Where's your Ose?
Ramsey: Totaled.
Decker: We have spares, but they're not your color. All that's left are the Gloucester prototypes.
Ramsey: It'll have to do. So, where's the boss?
Jackknife: His room. He's steeling himself, like he used to.
Ramsey: Tonight... Tonight, James dies and Tokyo burns. Vengeance will be mine.

Meanwhile, at an unknown Renegades base, Nanbu gathered his elite Knightmare pilots to the large control room.

Nanbu: People... We've worked our asses off for this opportunity. We're on the precipice of taking over the entire world. All that stands in the way are the Tokyo Mavericks and the Black Knights. Especially Alistair Wake. For numerous crimes, he is wanted dead. He's been thoroughly judged, for his constant actions. To the charge of disobeying the laws of the apocalypse...guilty. To the charge of killing those that obey those laws, and chose to be good...guilty. To the charge of ruining the California Republic and Lost Legion...guilty. To the charge of destroying Fort Helios and killing Mercer Hawking...guilty! To the charge of murdering Samuel Hawking...guilty! To the charge of being human, when he could have become a god! Guilty! The time has come for retribution! Let this unity of the Renegades and Primebloods become known to all! Let the true laws of the world reign supreme! Our principles, our laws, our order! We are Japan's Templars! We will repair the lines in the sand that Wake has sought to erase! Japan will rule the world! As your emperor, I will lead you all to your proper lives! Long live Japan! Long live Oda Nanbu!

The Knightmare pilots chanted Nanbu's name as he walked away, smiling.

Nanbu: Soon. Soon, I will have my ideal world. (pulls out cell phone, dials number) Hey. You ready for this? (pauses) Let's tear Tokyo apart.

Meanwhile, aboard the Avalon, Suzaku woke up in a bed and sat on the edge. He saw that V.V. had been waiting for him to wake up, and recognized him.

V.V.: Ah, good. You're up. I was wondering if this would work.
Suzaku: Is there a purpose to this visit?
V.V.: There is. A certain...individual that we've targeted. Isn't there someone you should see? Someone you need to kill?
Suzaku: Understood. Nothing will stand in my way.
