My very first cartoon crush, who has a special place in my heart above all others. Ryoko! I always had wished I was in Tenchi's place. Not because all the alien girls loved him, but because he had Ryoko in his life.While I like the animation from the OVA better, I really like the art style and designs from "Tenchi in Tokyo" series most of all. I really liked Ryoko's dress design in "Tokyo" too, more than her other outfits. I think I'll do another one with her soon, using her appearance from her date with Tenchi.
I hope everyone likes it!
edit- changed the line colors on her face. I saw this on a clearer screen and noticed the colors were all wrong. New ones should be a bit better.

Yes, Ryoko is the best.
And I loved Tenchi Muyo Forever! I really liked the fact that it felt more down to earth. Yeah, there was strange paranormal stuff going on, but I dunno. Its hard to describe.

Yeah, that was definitely what I thought at the end. Which would be the best ending.
I can't really argue with the way the OVA timelime ended up though; Tenchi marries all the girls, and supporters of all the pairings win.

I was watching Tenchi Muyo! since an age I perhaps shouldn't have been, and I feel like it was a big influence on my life. Ryoko is consistently a character I really, really adore. I feel like she was the most complex girl, in terms of motivation and personality. Fun fact: apparently, the creators of the original Ryo-Ohki OVAs did not plan for it to be a straight-out harem anime! The original plan was for the series to focus on Ryoko and Tenchi's relationship. I also love how Petrea Burchard - Ryoko's original American dub voice actress - has remained so close to the anime community, including the Tenchi Muyo! fandom, long after assuming the role.
You did a fantastic job of rendering Ryoko, and your style is very nice. I love the sharp colors, and the use of shapes and forms is very nice. It's simple, but in a way that's really fun and energetic! Ryoko's smile looks like she's thinking of all the ways she can get into trouble. I like this piece a lot, and I feel like it's time I perused your gallery! But not before I add this one to my Favorites.

Yes, she's the best. Somewhat morally grey, being a space pirate and all, but with only the best intentions when it came to Tenchi and their little "family".
And Patrea Burchard was awesome. I can't watch the 3rd part of the OVAs because the voice actress changed. Its too jarring.

tbh, I hated TiT back when it first aired, because of the "monster of the week" feel it had, and the art style. I started re-watching it again, and I've gotten a greater appreciation for it, mostly in its art direction. The original series is the best overall for me, though I think it gets too complicated with its in-story lore.
