C: What can you see, cardboard cutout of Norman?
N: Nothing, I don't actually have eyes.
I don't want to seem rude or belittle your editing talents but he does look like cardboard.

I know, I tried getting rid of the background as much as I can. I couldn't find a higher quality screencap of Norman like this either, but eventually I'll go through my DVD to pause for it. Even then, the lighting and background color will be hard to remove.

I did not expect you to respond, I just figured this kind of stuff was outdated and I was merely a comment phantom floating about and talking to old cadavers.

Felt the need to reply, I guess.

I don't understand this pairing having never seen the Coraline movie (I thought that Disney dropped it cause it was costing them too much to make- according to the papers. But I think that was possibly the sequel). I refuse to watch the Tim Burton Coraline, cause I read the book when I was quite young (and was easily scared due to a overactive imagination) and it scared the shit out of me! But after that little rant, I have to say that this is some very good photomanipulation, considering the different styles and the different lighting that you had to conquer!

Although I loved the film and book to bits, I respect and understand what you thought of it, along with how you see the pairing.
Also, thank you very much for you're kind words on this photomanip! I admit, some of my Norm/Cora pieces were tricky to handle mostly because of the lighting.
But like this one, I'm happy to get around the lighting, among other things. Every piece was done on PowerPoint, and it's often fun to do.

No problem, the Caroline book terrified me when I was little, although I can see how people love this pairing, I guess it could work but I don't know Corline that well to ship it!

I can see how it was terrifying to you when you were small. But, maybe you could give it another read just to find out more of the story and its meaning?
It isn't necessary to read it for the pairing, and it's only if you feel comfortable to read it at this point in your life. Otherwise, no pressure.
If I were to read the book when I was younger, I would probably be more confused by how it's written so simply, yet so strangely.
But I read the book after seeing the movie in 2009, which were both amazing to me, though I understand why it can be disturbing to some. No worries.

[link] <-- Very useful pictures to manipulate. As for Norman's pictures, its from screencaps I collected from most of the videos that released from Laika.
Coraline's hand, by the way, is separated from the rest of her 'cause I wanted the hand to seem like it's gripping the wall. I think it turned out well.
I use Powerpoint and its "Remove Background" button to do all these pics, other then a bit of color editing to most pics.
