Description
"Leave her ALONE!!"Danny flew at the twisted Beldam, propelling himself to attack after a blow from the witch. He hit his target, hearing a satisfying 'crack' from the Beldam as she stumbled to the side with a frustrated cry, letting go of her death grip on Coraline in the process. The two paranormal beings rolled as they punched, swiped, yelled and grunted. Coraline collapsed to the floor coughing harshly, her shaking hand to her throat. She opened her eyes, glancing at her ghostly companion as he kept the Beldam away from her.
Determined to fight back, she shakily stood up, her back and hand against the wall behind her for support. She spotted a large splint of wood, and tried to run for it. But she froze after hearing a cry of pain. She whipped her head to the source and horror overtook her as she saw Danny tumbling and rolling across the floor, hitting the wall opposite of her as he laid there. The Beldam had re-focused her targets on Coraline, and lunged at the bruised and dazed girl. Coraline took no time, and dove at the splint, grabbing it, and managed a full swing across the Beldam's face. The witch stumbled backwards, grasping her face and screeching in agony.
Coraline saw this as an opportunity to get to Danny. She barely saw him move slightly from the corner of her eye, and instinctively raced towards his injured form, dropping the splint when she reached him. He lay on his back, his head leaning a bit to the right, completely facing Coraline as his emerald eyes slowly opened. Coraline forced a weak smile, relieved to see him still conscious.
"Coraline..." His voice was tired, but his adrenaline kept fighting, keeping him awake and alert. "I'm alright, Danny. An' so are you." She spoke softly, having lost her smile, but her eyes showed concern as she gripped her friend's hand in reassurance. Danny nearly curved his mouth into a grin, until his eyes darted past Coraline's head, seeing a shadow form over her... sharp needles glinted in the bad light of the room... Danny's eyes suddenly widened in horror.
"Look out!!"
He threw himself off the floor and grabbed Coraline out of the Beldam's reach. He flew forward, but nearly stopped dead when Coraline's scream filled the room. Panicked, Danny fell to the floor while shielding his companion from the impact, he looked over Coraline's body, and stopped, eyes full of shock.
The Beldam had left three tears in the girl's jeans, and the same number of gashes on the her left leg just below the knee. Coraline gripped Danny's arm in fear and pain, letting out small cries. Her expression was screwed in agony, a sight that would kill Danny from the inside. He slowly rose to his knees, the grip on his arm had released as Coraline slowly and shakily curled into a ball. He could distinctly hear the heartless chuckle of evil witch, as the 'clink' and 'clank' of her needle-like limbs sounded off. She stopped, and all was quiet, save for Coraline's moans of pain and Danny's heavy breathing. The Beldam smirked, her button eyes gleamed once in amusement. And in less then five seconds...
A set of lime-green eyes glowing in rage and a hateful yell was all she witnessed, as a blinding green ball of light blasted through her chest like paper. A gaping hole was left in the blast's path, now oozing black-like tar. The witch stood there, her face planted with shock as the ghost boy rose to his feet. His eyes had reduced to it's true emerald color as his breathing became normal, but still heavy. His hands still contained radiating ectoplasm and a strong, firm look was clear on his face.
"You just made, a BIG, mistake..." He eyed at the damage he's done, before looking back at the witch's dying button eyes, when finally the witch slid to her 'knees'. "... and now you pay the price." With those words, the Beldam collapsed into a heap, not moving from her sprawled position. Her button eyes had somehow un-sewn themselves, as they uselessly fall to the floor. Danny's angrily scrunched eyes were firm on the monster's still form, before his concentration was broken by a hoarse voice say his name.
"Danny..." Danny quickly turned and knelt by Coraline's side, his eyes full of worry. Her breathing came out heavy and her eyes were shut tight, as Danny saw her scarred leg. The color red stained her jeans and her gashes were thin, but deep. Danny shut his eyes and slowly turned his head away from the damage to Coraline's pale face. The agony had slowly left, but traces of it still stayed. "Oh Coraline..." He whispered, and held her limp, almost cold hand. To his most relief she squeezed back, and slowly opened her hazel brown eyes to look up at her ghostly companion. She lightly smiled. "Hey buddy..." Her voice was weak, exhausted, but Danny's heart threatened to burst out of his ribcage after hearing her speak. A small tear streamed down his face as he grinned. "You're gonna be alright, Coraline." He tightened his grip on her hand, trying to contain his excitement as he continued, "Everything will be fine." Coraline smiled the same as she slowly nodded. "I know it will." They both stare at each other for while, until Danny feels a vibrating movement around the room. He starts looking around until he sees the walls are obliterating into nothing, as in nothing but white. Coraline struggles to sit up until Danny helps her. Adrenaline rushes through her body as she frantically scans her surroundings until she sees a pool of black tar a few feet in front of her, with a few needles and a set of black buttons poking through the tar. It was what was left of the wicked Beldam, and she realized the catastrophic results.
She figures out the situation and replies, "You destroyed her, Danny, that means that this world is falling apart with her. We gotta get out of here, fast!" With a confirmed nod, Danny carefully helped Coraline to her feet, hoping not to hurt her after hearing her moans of discomfort. He craned his neck to the right, and the little door was less then ten feet away. "This might hurt, but hold on." Nearly without warning, Coraline was being carried bridal style and Danny flew to the door. He used one foot to kick it open with ease, and once again was flying through the vibrating tunnel, keeping his companion close after she buried her face onto his chest. The door to the real world came to view, still open since they came in. Danny suddenly felt disconnected from his powers as he dove out the door, twisting his body to land on his back with Coraline still laying on top of him. He was dazed for a moment, barely acknowledging of how Coraline lifted herself off, and crawled to the door. A black key whizzed in front of his face, it's end shaped like a...
Button...
He snapped back to reality with a gasp, as he shot up to a sitting position. He saw Coraline near the door, looking at her palm. Expecting to see the key in her hand after she had locked the door, but instead he saw a small pile of black ash... 'Was that the key...?' He thought. Coraline slowly turned her head to face him, and her confused expression changed to utter shock. Danny raised a brow, now puzzled himself. 'W-What's wrong?" He asked, and a few seconds passed before he received a shocking yet relieved answer.
"You're human..."
Danny found this hard to believe, but he did rather feel normal, instead of the same old energy flow he feels whenever he transforms. He lifted his hand, what he expected to see was his white leather glove. But he saw his fleshy hand instead. He looked down, to see he was in his casual white and red-stripped shirt, blue ragged jeans, and red and white sneakers, similar to Coraline's pink ones. He knew his eyes and hair had become their regular icy blue and jet black hair, respectively. He looked up in disbelief at her, then she slipped a small giggle. Her hand flew to her mouth, and he couldn't help but grin, soon followed by laughter. Coraline soon joined in, although it lasted a few seconds until Danny spoke, "You have no idea how much I missed being normal." He chuckled lightly after his comment and hearing Coraline's light giggle.

I stopped it there cause I didn't have an urge to continue. I hate it when I stop at one point, but hopefully you guys could have an idea of how this'll unfold.
And ya, this backstory isn't as epic as my last one with "Enchanted Magik", but for every writer, when a huge case in inspiration come out on paper, it can become difficult to regain it again. Consider this a script or a rough copy, cause I can write better than this, just not at the moment. T.T I kinda forced myself to continue this, but I hope it appeals to you all though.
There were some problems while fixing up the pic after scanning, I don't know why. Anyway, this pic is related to "Dan+Cora - Enchanted Magik", and above is a backstory of what goes on here.
Hope you all enjoy and comment!

That's good. I don't get this much constructive comments on FF due to my absences and lack of updates. Yet I find more understanding, and odd if I might add , people here.

Hey, your not-putting-efforts-into-it are better than some putting-efforts-into-it that I've encountered. It's not often that we see such a talented person here. I mean, you're spectacular at drawing, writing, and socializing and I have to give you credit for that.

LOL And I thank you very much for that. I'd barely socialize when I was younger, but as I grew up, I'd sometimes consider meself a talker.
