Sailor Cheshire is here to help guide you through Wonderland... whoops... I mean Miss Senshi Pageant 2014!

1. Please take a moment to introduce yourself to us.
At first the stage appears to be empty, but then an abnormally large smile, complete with pointed fangs, appears. It's followed by two bright green eyes with feline slits for pupils. "Hello participants, judges. Esteemed guests and lost souls. I'm here to guide the participants through the rounds of this pageant, to get to where they wish to go."

2. Tell us something that will help us remember you.
Stripes appear, twitching back and forth, as if part of some creature's tail... and on what appears to be legs when the mostly invisible creature lands on the stage without a sound. "I should hope you would remember a cat that comes and goes as it pleases. I can see you want more then... remember that I am the guardian of the realm known as Wonderland." Pink smoke appears between the stripes and solidifies into the form of a short girl with pink hair and striped tail, in a sailor fuku. Her grin is manic rather than happy.

3. Describe your typical day.
"Typical, what a word. I wake from one of my many naps, and go wandering through whatever plane of existence I find myself on that day. I find myself a likely looking person or creature and observe it, sometimes conversing with them. If it seems it has any sense, I ask them if they have met an Alice. If they do know an Alice, I go any I seek that Alice out. So far, while I have met many with the name, The Alice eludes me. When not on the prowl, I amuse myself in Wonderland with the many odd inhabitants. Caterpillar is a good creature for passing the time with, should I chose to do so. I also enjoy bedeviling the royal court for a few laughs."

4. What makes you happy and what makes you scared?
"I feel perhaps it matters not when I am happy or when I'm scared. You see, I'm mad." The judges and audience appear to be unsure what to think. "Well, then," the Cat went on, "you see a dog growls when it's angry, and wags its tail when it's pleased. Now I growl when I'm pleased, and wag my tail when I'm angry. Therefore I'm mad." *

5. What do you find most challenging about being a senshi?
"Hmm... everyone has the pesky expectation that just because you're a senshi, you're also sane. I get far too many questions that seem self-explanatory and superfluous." She shifts her gaze to the panel, ears pointing forward. "People seem to think it's perfectly sane to be talking to a cat but seem so disturbed when it answers back, in the manner in which a cat will."

6. Who is your role model and how do they inspire you?
"My role model?" The small figure seems to become a bit more translucent, and its tail flicks sharply. The whole posture becomes impatient, before Sailor Cheshire remembers her purpose as an example and is once again opaque and jovial. "Forgive me, ladies and gentlemen, I forget you may not be familiar with the land I come from. Role models are in short supply unless you find yourself with a wish to play mad games with a bloody Queen or host tea parties forever with the Hatter and the March Hare. Perhaps you do, would you care for an introduction?"

7. What would you name your autobiography?
"Call it what you like."*

8. Do you believe in fate/destiny, or do you believe you write your own story?
"I believe there is a story for us all to tell, a pattern that weaves itself from chaos into order. However, I feel there are those like me who take it as more of a... shall we call it... Choose Your Own Adventure." Her grin hides behind her lips for once, her eyes becoming heavy-lidded. "I will not let my land fall to darkness simply because fate chooses for it to be so. I will slide between the lines and pages and I will save my realm. I will walk to the other side of reality to find our savior." The toothy smirk is back, as her tail twitches confidently.

9. Do you have other teammates? What are they like? If not, do you wish you had some?
"While I work alone in general, I find it easy to make allies in most dimensions I find myself in, and I file them away for later if they are ever needed in the defense of Wonderland. In this world, I have befriended Sailor Cuetzpalin and Sailor Dog. I am always looking for those who are brave enough to walk the path of uncertainty, and at times, madness."

10. What do you hope to accomplish by competing in this pageant?
Sailor Cheshire blinks her luminous green eyes, and seems to shift closer to the edge of the stage without moving her feet. The judges shift back a bit. "I am looking for the one known as The Alice. She will be the savior of the Wonderland in the future, after it has fallen to darkness. I hope my exposure in this realm and my serving as guide to the contestants in this tournament will draw her near if she is indeed a denizen of this land."

11. Do you have anyone special out there cheering for you? Would you like to give them a shout out?
Sailor Cheshire fades, her eyes and her grin remaining, "Alice, if you're out there, head my words and seek me out. For the future of my world as well as yours." The feline eyes close and the grin fades from view, as the stage is silent and empty.

Format, Layout and organization: The easier it is to read; the better! You can achieve this by using < b > at the beginning of what you want bolded and at the end of it adding < /b > (Without the spaces of course) or < i > and < /i > to make the cool italic look to it. You can also add some small icon next to each line (But remember, the smaller, the better! a next to each line would just be obnoxious.) Great examples of small icons would be simply by adding :bullet(The color you want) : . The limit is your imagination!

References, references, references!: Anatomy should be consistant, a good way to accomplish this is to use references, either with pose sketches or stock images. Don't have a good one laying around the house? DA to the rescue! I either look up "pose references" in search, or you can go to these great stock reference accounts: Remember to credit your sources. Special note about character style: Cheshire here has some odd characteristics as far as anatomy goes, because she is not human. She is cartoonish, with large clawed hands and feet, large animal ears, a tail, and large eyes. The expectation is that I keep this a consistent characteristic and not use it as a crutch.

Spell check, proofread, and read it out loud!: With every round, don't forget to run it through spell check, check on it later and re-read it again. The pageant gives you a few weeks to get your entry in, so as long as you don't wait last minute you should have plenty of time to come back to your writing and check again before submitting. Sometimes reading your writing out loud can tell you if something needs to get fixed as well.
