Today's "broken back project"... a 6 hour portrait of Mary J Blige.I used a 2B mechanical pencil and a 2B Monolith.
Her braided hair was fun to draw, which was a surprise to me.

Yup yup, looks just like her. If I could offer criticism, I would say that on her breastbone, the light seems placed, instead of real. Try following the direction of her skin with the pencil, and see if it gives more of a natural light.
