maleficent has always been one of my favourite villains, and she looks great in the updated costume. the colors are awesome, and the shading is spectacular. i love her eyeshadow, especially.

That is simply amazing! I still adore Disney movies despite being 20, and hands down, Maleficent has to be the best villain out of all of them. Actually, I think you drew what she could have looked like if she had been modernized. (:
I also love how you're able to create texture/lighting effects with mere pixels! I love how the outside glitters and the inside of the skirt looks not just velvety, but shimmery and molten (must be comfortable!) and even the shine on her horns. And the detail of the background is simply divine!

And yea, I've always had a special place in my heart for Disney villains. Maleficent is DEFINATELY in my top 3. She's up there with Cruella and Ursula. And thank you so much for the compliments! I really tried to get that modern evil feel across, but still make it uniquely Maleficent. Made her a bit younger, but that was really unintentional, haha, there's not a lot of older looking female bases to work with out there, so I did what I could. But looking younger isn't a bad thing either!

I never work on any of my stuff that long... well, sometimes I do - but not often. I usually can only spend about 6 hours on something before I get either frustrated or bored with it.

Oh mann...I wish I had a tablet. Some people say they work with it better? But I don't know, my mouse works ok...but the thing is I bought one of those laser types, and it was aweful for me to doll with. So I just use my old fashioned roller ball mouse....
I just have to get the lint out of it every now and again...
Then againnnnn If you tool shade, that tablet would help out a huge deal, I imagine.

I use a laser mouse; those roller ball ones are just too much of a pain. Either the ball get stuck or it gets very, very dirty.
