New digital painting

I've started doing artwork for commemorative days which are celebrated in places all over the world, as well as for days like this - the first day of Spring!

I think my next one is Easter, which is also my mum's birthday, AND April Fool's Day! Not sure if I'll be doing all, some or only one however for this date

Anyhoo, this digital painting here took me about 2 hours to complete with a few breaks inbetween (for fooood hehe). I wanted to try different digital painting styles as I find my go-to style to be quite boring, so I sought out the only artist which came to mind!!!! Apofiss !!! Yes, in case you couldn't tell I reffed his work! I have been a long-time lover of his work and his style just came to mind when I thought I wanted to do a painting of a warm, cute animal, one that hopefully wouldn't take me toooo long and that looked really pretty still.

I learnt quite a bit whilst studying his brush strokes, lighting, colours and glowy soothing atmosphere. It showed me new ways of painting which is why I think this is a really good way of learning! Of course, making sure to mention the artist if you're posting anywhere I think is important, especially if it's a very direct study of their style like mine is.

p.s. foxes are beautiful creatures - please don't make that an excuse to steal their coats so you can wear them. Don't buy fur, it's not cool and not trendy, it's killing.
