It's interesting how you put the roads overlaying the image. It works in a chaotic kind of way. The patterns of the roads drew me in, an the tower underneath is a good foundation. One of the first thoughts that came into my head was...it's kinda life-less, but as I looked closer and into the detail I noticed how the roads give it some type of life. So I would say you did a good job. Keep it up. But as it is not my style of art I will rate it according to my opinion. Hope this helps you. e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="391" title=" (Smile)"/>

J'adore! this is really beautiful! in terms of vision, I believe that the vision was really well constructed and well thought out , the originality of the piece becomes really obvious with the map. I think that this is among the coolest concepts I Have ever seen on any piece ever, and its impact is really striking. The technique used here is fantastic, and everything fits perfectly in terms of the map in proportion to the tower. Great use of shading and contours. The only thing is that some of the view below the tower is obstructed by the map, this adds something to it in my opinion, a certain mysterious aspect that reminds us that we don't have to see everything in great detail to create beauty within our minds. Clarity isn't perfection, it's what we do with our minds when we don't have it. Lovely piece.

Is this photoshop or illustrator in which the map was made? It'd be good to lower the opacity of the map so it doesn't cover so much fragments of the Eiffel Tower, which can be done with both and doesn't have to be lowered so much that it's hard to see. I like the gradient of gray placed through the image of the map, which to me seems to even give the map a form of 3D instead of a flat surface or a "spider web" covering our view. Instead to me it seems to give it the feel of diagonally moving backwards towards the top right. The map is truly the most impressive work of the piece, but surely the placement of the Eiffel Tower with the trees and visitors below is done excellent, as the gradient seems to lighten where light isn't covered by any dark objects. Similarly, a drawn-flat map contrasts really well with the strange angle of how the tower is viewed, which I believe adds to its success (although it'd be interesting to see a horizontal, straight-on view of the tower with this same map).

This is an interesting second way to see the other painting.
Visually it hits you for good, because at the first look you don't understand for real what's is going on there, but after a few second you understand that spiderweb it's a map. So I liked the first impact, but, my opinion is that the map is too much visible and covers too much the painting, so it becomes a spiderweb map of Paris on a great panting, and not what you (maybe) want to communicate, a Tour Eiffel painting with a map of the city on it.
It's a great work for sure, I appreciate the difference between the linear cheme of the city and the sensibility of the watercolours, but maybe the ines of the map are to much visible and they hide too much the painting.

All in all it is a lovely piece. I think there is striking sense of vision in the creation of this painting. The painting in the background definitely has much character and is unique in its execution.

The map overlay on the painting of the tower is an interesting choice that obstructs view of the tower and yet intrigues simultaneously. I find it to be an interesting juxtaposition, when comparing the appearance of the brush strokes as born of spontaneity; in opposition to the map as a signage marked by deliberate and premeditated action.

I have only one criticism in that I think the details of the map detract from the fine handiwork of the tower and its surroundings. I believe it would have greatly increased the aesthetic appeal of the painting overall if the map were either painted in a similar hue as the background and with less detail (enlarged / zoomed in).

I hope to see more artworks in this vein of style and composition.

I love the idea of this, so different from normal pictures of the Eiffel Tower. Right away I could tell that these weren't just lines but rather a road map. I love the idea of the map of Paris making up the likes of the Eiffel Tower because when people think of Paris they automatically think of the Eiffel Tower. I also like the contrast that the silver lines of the make bring to the piece. Since the lines of the Eiffel Tower are black the silver is enough to just blend in with the piece, but at the same time make it stand out. All in all I love this work.
