Description
So...I watched The Dark Knight last Thursday with my best friend and my sister and... I just can't express with words what a flawless work of art this film truly is. "A perfect ten. An eleven even" I told a friend and mark my words.
I usually go to the movies unbiased, even if I'm about to watch a movie based upon a character I dearly love, just to let the actors and the director tell their tale; later, I can judge wether I liked it or not, based upon the way they told their story. With this film, I was a 10-year-old again. I had loved Batman Begins so much that I just expected Chistopher Nolan, Christian Bale, Heath Ledger, Michael Cane, Aaron Eckhart and everyone in the film to blow me away. And they did. In every possible way.
As I stated, this movie is a true work of art: from the brilliant performances of every actor in it (Ledger most of all) to the most sublime way it is paced and filmed by Mr. Nolan. After watching it, I was literally breathless and I came home to find my hand paying tribute to it in the only way I can convey my feelings when I'm at a loss for words. To me, true art generates more art, and this film has generated this desire in me to create, to depict what I felt sitting in that cinema for whatever the movie's length was (which is unnoticeable!).
I hope this does it some justice... my hat is off to this movie, the best I've seen in a long time.
Go watch it. I'll do it again this week.
Nic.-

Oh, I'd read your Journal, after liking to it from Sean Murphy's I think. You put into words all of the things I liked too and couldn't, which led to this image being born. It's true that you can go on and on about it, huh? I think I know why that is too: every minute of this film has something that haunts you, that embraces you and you just can't help to love.
We could talk a lot indeed, and perhaps we wil one day, mate!
I'm glad I did the film justice.

wow, this movie was sick.... the writing was so on point i don't know why other writers don't get smacked for the garbage they've written! I kinda got sad and a bit emotional knowing that Ledger won't be playing the joker ever again. This world felt so damn real, I was worried about what was going to happen to people and who was going to get cut and who was going to die or get saved, it had me really drawn into the world of Gotham. I can't wait to do some work on this movie for my own fanart!

Told you...
You're absolutely right about the script; and guess who wrote it? Mr. Nolan and his brother . I think that it's the fact that they build their movies and screenplays from the psichology of the characters that makes them so unique and alive; you can relate to the things that happen at an emotional level, and a very deep one at that. And only good movies and stories get you that way.
Thanks for coming back, mate and I hope my rendition has something of that wonderful air this film has all around it.

whats really hot is that it reminded me of the cartoon too in how ledger portrayed the Joker, the laughter was perfect. I don't get how the guy from a knights tale and 10 things i hate about you turned into the joker, it's sick!
i wanna find out what other movies nolan has done because i really enjoyed the way the characters spoke, the things they said were exactly what should have been said a the right time and everything. I swear after seeing this movie i wanna smack some writers for the garbage we've had to endure=]

I want season 3 to come out already! hehe I am mad it's over, I REALLY hope they show another season where they have to fix the world. there's a book called "Magic Kingdom for Sale/Sold" where a king claims the thrown but the people are in shambles from past kings, so he has to gain their trust and rebuild his nation and it's a very cool journey. There's so much they can create and add to the Avatar culture and mythos that they can do at least one more season=]
