Description
Yes! After almost a year (I'm so ashamed of myself) I've drawn next picture of my Baccano! Collection and this time it's the lucky thirteen with my favourite mafia brothers.
In the middle, head of the family, the oldest, stoic and quiet one - Keith.
On the right, the second oldest, the strongest, rough-and-tumble but quite submissive to his wife - Berga.
On the left, the youngest (even though he doesn't look or act like he's under 20), incredibly handsome beast with golden hart but still probably to most dangerous of all of the siblings (well, Claire exluded
) - Luck.Yes, I'm fully aware, that in the anime the Gandor Brothers have blonde hair, but I've seen a few official artworks with them having darker, more brownish hair. I like it much better, so I drew it that way.

Yeah, unfortunately, due to how badly adapted the 1932 arc was, you don't really get to see much of the awesomeness that is the Gandor family, aside from a few scenes with Luck.
The 1932 arc is the main blemish on the anime. They took a minor, immediately resolved sub-plot (what happened to Dallas), and dragged it out over the entire arc, instead of choosing one of the two ACTUAL main plotlines (the brewing turf war or the recovery of the stolen drug shipment) to follow. I'd much rather they not have done it all and spend that extra animation time fleshing out the 1931 arc.

Blonde hair? I didn't interpret the anime color as blonde. The artwork from the light novels make their faces more distinct anyway, so I think it was a good idea for you to reference that instead of how they look in the anime. Very nice job!

Well, in the anime their hair was definitely more blonde, than brownish and personally I don't like it at all. To tell the truth, in many scenes I had a lot of criticism for their appearance, especially for Luck - in the anime he rarely looks like that handsome, extremly inteligent boy from novel.
He and Ronnie look very similar in the anime, which was also very confusing for me :/

Yeah that was annoying. I thought they were the same person. >.< In the novels they are just drawn in more interesting ways. I bought the artbook for baccano and it's so much more awesome looking with a much brighter color palette than the gray, dull mush in the anime, but eh. Animation requires simplification and efficiency. With so many bad ass characters in Baccano it's difficult to simplify their design and to add nuance when you need to draw the characters over and over again for each frame. Still love the anime anyway.

Sorry to butt in after so many months- You might be thinking of Dallas Genoard and his gang, who went on a rampage after they became immortal. They weren't brothers but their relationship could be confused easily.

I actually really enjoy the brown hair. Lovely job on it, i think the Brothers Gandor are my favorite characters in the series ^^
