Coming from the family that inherits the government army organization, Varick Howe was trained to protect and treasure what is precious to him (Protective). That includes his family and the people around him. Now that he became one of the important person to the country and the people had high hopes on him to handle the Specials, Varick is doing his best to fulfill the people's promise. After regretting for leaving the Howe family behind and for the tragedy that scarred him for life, he held a great grudge to the mutated people, known as Specials and sees them as only a threat to the country and the people (Revengeful). Due to that, he never show any mercy and will act cruel on any threatening Specials (Sadist & Merciless). Even if he was seen to be near and friendly with Specials, don't let the eyes fool you. The man has his intention for doing so. He will gain that trust and crush them into dust within seconds (Sly). Even with high class Specials, he never feared for that, he will find a way to fight them back (Fearless). He is very good at hiding his negative side, because despite of those cruel traits, he is quite a well-behaved polite gentleman and very friendly to his BOSS staffs and also the organization's partner/ stakeholder. Since the people he's dealing would benefits the organization, he tries to be as wise as possible in decision-making, although to Specials, his decision is a life-threatening.

Ever since young, he was the center of the Howe family's eye and attention. His skill, his intelligent and his potential to lead the next generation of government army impressed his grandfather, Raul Howe. His parents were along the grandfather's side as well. Among his siblings, Varick was his favourite and Raul had high hope for his grandson and the one that will lead the army. Every lesson and every request demanded from Varick, he will fulfilled them. The bias treatment was never pleased by his other siblings, but it didn't bother the male at all.

As Varick turned 24, he was promoted in BOSS to be one of the youngest head of Cadet. He was highly respected and Varick was excellent in delivering any combat and missions. Until one mission, he was separated from his comrades and was unconsciously injured. One SPECIAL female around his age, took him in and treat him with good care. After the incident, they slowly became close friends and little that they know, both fell in love. Despite of having both sides of the origin that hated among each other, Varick and his lover moved away from USA to live on their own with peace. It was for the best, they thought.

It's been 6 years that he left behind the Howe family and started his own. Not long after, the couple was granted a child and despite of not knowing if the child was a SPECIAL or not, they'd still loved the child no matter what. The family of three got settled down in a remote rural town in Ireland. Varick worked as a mechanics near the town and his wife was working in a small bakery.

When all thoughts are at peace, the family suddenly was attacked by a group of SPECIALs. One of them was the wife's brother. The brother came to avenge for his SPECIALs friend back in USA who died in the battle with government army led by Varick himself. To Varick's shock, his wife was part of the revenge plan, but she denied as she changed her mind and abandoned the mission for good. However, it was too late as everything was according to plan. The scene turned into intense fight in result, he lost his family and suffered in major injury that he may not be able to perform any heavy duty work as he did before. Disappointing from the event, he couldn't care less anymore about his family and flew back to USA.

The scar in his heart didn't heal for him as his hatred towards SPECIALs grew stronger than ever. He regretted for leaving his duty and upon his comeback, Varick became the BOSS Chief to serve the family once more. After several years, watching all kinds of SPECIALs incidents, from the worst and amusing ones, there was one that caught his attention. Perhaps someone who could be a great asset for BOSS. Someone who could made other SPECIALs feared for him.
